Dear Blog,
I feel a strange feeling of priority, like I have to write to you all the time...so I will. Besides, I've got thnig to talk about that don't include my usual dawdling on. So what is an
'ideal love' is it like those Fariytail stories or closer to the events of the recent
Gossip Girl episodes? Or maybe, like the re-run of Laguna Beach you feel like Lauren Conrad...and her relationship with Stephen Colletti. Okay, hold on, I may be going too fast for you. So here, let me break down the relationships between these characters and what they're all about.
- Chuck and Blair; She's a bitch and he's a billionaire's son. Sounds odd enough, doesn't it? Blair's the typical popular girl, she has the benefits of a rich family, friends that kneel to her, and the hottest boyfriend, Nate Archibald...what makes her turn to Chuck though? They're like best-friends...more like partners in crime, they plan together but they never thought it'd lead to fatal attraction. He was the bad boy that went queasy for her, she was the bitch that seemed selfless, weren't they perfect?
I think what gets me attracted to this story is the fact that well, Blair and Chuck could get anything...but they simply want each other. It's hard for them to love yet they admit, that though their relationship is disfuctional...there's still a chance. It has the makings of the 21st century love story...between the bad guy and the wicked sister.
- Lauren Conrad and Stephen Colletti; She'd the reliable best-friend that has a crush on him, and it's truely obvious. So what happens when a girl gets between them? Things get catty. You see Lauren has all the makings of a love-struck teenager. She's the type -and I find this sweet- that would give up her hurt just to see the guy she loves happy. She may hate it, and feel torn up...but she does it for him. And yet he doesn't see, he uses her as a puppet.
The first bit of this gets me...it's perfect. I've experienced it before. You know, when you have that best-friend you have a crush on, and you do anything to get his attention...yet when another girl comes along you feel possessive and don't know why. Lauren Conrad has the role of girls everywhere...this is a typical love story and believe it or not, it's true.
So what really is the ideal relationship? I haven't found out yet, but I'm excited, just like how I shouldn't be. I don't know what's got me yearning for this...but it definately is making me 'yearn'.
